All About Us

No more homeless pets is our goal and our passion.

We are a 501(c)(3) dedicated to No More Homeless Pets in Michigan. We formed in June 2005 and offer high-quality, high volume, low-cost spay/neuter services to the public. We’re happy to say we help more than 20,000 animals a year through our spay/neuter surgeries, vaccine wellness clinics, microchips and adoption services. We have sterilized 40,000 cats and dogs since we opened and 15,000 in 2011 alone; preventing hundreds of thousands of unwanted litters ending up in shelters and euthanized. Through our Angel Outreach program, we continue to distribute free food to needy pet owners so they are able to keep their pets in their home. We offer special programs and Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) training to the public to assist with the homeless cat population.

We are committed to helping animals.

We are a no kill rescue. Maddie's Fund website has excellent information on the No-Kill movement, what it means and how to accomplish it.

We are available for presentations/interviews about spay/neuter, adoption and animal care. Contact us todayt overpopulation problem?

By focusing on adoption programs and spay/neuter programs. We are one of the few rescues in the State of Michigan that assists families with spay/neuter of their pets. Why spay/neuter?

To adopt out every dog and cat, every person would have to own 21 cats and 7 dogs. That simply isn't feasible so aggressive spay/neuter programs are the answer. In the Detroit area, approximately 62% of pets entering shelters are put to sleep. On average 50% of the dogs and 90% of cats don't make it. For the most part, Its not because the shelters don't want to find them homes, it's that there are too many pets.

Our CEO

CEOWe are very sad to announce that our CEO succumbed to renal failure. Many of you will remember her as she quietly surveyed all that went on at All About Animals Rescue. She was not only a cherished staff member, but a client favorite as well. CEO came to All About Animals Rescue when she was abandoned outside of the old Mound location. Through the years she brought joy and cattitude to the rescue. There will never be another that can match her spirit. CEO - we miss you.

CEO was found in pretty bad shape, she was dehydrated, very underweight and lethargic. We took her in and treated her, giving her lots of treats and love. Originally CEO was supposed to be adopted out but she quickly took over the office and established herself as contributor and taking over the operations. After establishing herself in the main office she then stole everyone's heart and started running the place with a soft paw! She demands nothing but the best from her employees and volunteers! CEO will only eat prime cuts of chicken and other prime goodies deemed worthy of her attention. She adores cat nip and likes a constant supply of it.

CEO is not shy about letting people know what she wants - which is lots of love and hard work!

Just one example of a pet we've helped:

Moses

Moses who came to us underweight, wondering outdoors, with a sign tied with twine around his neck that said "My name is Moses.  I am a good boy.  Please take care of me.”  We were able to take Moses into foster care but it turned out he also needed surgery on both his knees.  Thankfully we were able to help him get his much needed surgery so he can live a pain free life and has been adopted into a wonderful home. Here is an update from his new family:

"He is doing wonderfully. He is so loved by this family and spoiled to much some days.  He is all one colour now and running and having a blast with other dogs in the family.  He is so great with kids that the neighbour kids love to play with him, they say he is so soft and can't stop touching him and he loves it. He had his first bath last month and enjoyed it so much that now he tries to jump into the bath with me.  My brother loves to take him to the beach to run on the sand and also enjoys all the attention he gets from the girls.  He is still a Detroit red wings fan but we are trying to convert him to a Canadians or Maple leaf fan and he will not have anything to do with it. He truely loves hockey it is very funny to watch. He also loves the snow so i think he starting to become a true Canadian.

We as a family can not thank you enough for the love and support you gave him during the rough times in his life and we want you to know that you are heros to us."
