Meet our Board!

We are pleased to introduce you to our all volunteer Board:

Lisa Pick

Lisa Pick – Chairperson

Lisa Pick is Senior Vice President at Valassis Communications, Inc. and formally a Senior Principal with the law firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, representing clients in commercial transactions and mergers and acquisitions worldwide.

Lisa has been practicing law for over 20 years. Her passion for animals, however, has been lifelong. She started with All About Animals Rescue as a volunteer in 2008. Having been so impressed with the development of the organization and the effective pursuit of its mission, she joined the Board of Directors and actively began participating in fundraising and strategic planning. Lisa has been involved in various aspects of the organization and is committed to reaching the goal of No More Homeless Pets!

Curt Brock

Curt Brock – Spay-tacular Chair

Curt Brock worked at Masco Corporation for 24 years and is now enjoying early retirement in Harbor Springs, Michigan with his wife, Judy and 3 rescued furry kids. The Brocks believe in the mission of All About Animals Rescue and enjoy volunteering in any way possible that helps animals.

Curt has served as the Chair for the organization’s largest annual fundraiser since its inception in 2015; Spay-tacular, Party for Paws.

Karen Mountz – Board of Directors

Karen Mountz is a life-long Michigan resident who is employed as a public librarian in Rochester but whose passion lies in volunteering. When no longer needed as a Girl Scout leader, Junior Great Books facilitator, or PTA member, Karen turned her focus to companion animals. She has volunteered with several animal welfare organizations, helping with low-cost spay/neuter clinics, TNR activities, No Kill conferences, and with a Facebook page for Michigan lost and found pets. Joining the All About Animals Rescue board in spring of 2019, she has assisted with traveling shot clinics and thoroughly enjoys meeting pets and their people, witnessing firsthand the impact of the events.

Karen is pictured here with Who-cat, once a community cat enjoying life indoors.

Amber Sitko

Amber Sitko – Founder and President

By profession, Amber Sitko is a Cloud Solution Architect with Microsoft for over 30 years. She has a Masters of Business Administration from Wayne State University.

By passion, Amber founded All About Animals Rescue (AAAR) in 2005. The organization has gone from primarily adopting out pets to becoming the largest spay/neuter and wellness care provider in Michigan. The operational budget has grown from $80 thousand annually to over $5 million; reaching more than 75,000 cats and dogs each year with care.

Amber transitioned the board from a working board to a strategic board and established collaborative relationships with local communities, governments and rescues in the interest of furthering animal welfare. She has successfully obtained grants in the tune of over $1 million dollars and developed fund raising and strategic plans for the organization. She also created Spay Michigan; a Statewide toll free hotline modeled after SPAY/USA and a comprehensive TNR/SNR program that is the first of its kind in Michigan.
