Animal Abuser due back in Court

Sterling Heights Police and Animal Control raided a Sterling Heights Kennel April 23, 2008. Several rescues were called in to help, including All About Animals Rescue. Most of the sick animals went to Serenity Animal Hospital where they were treated and released, many of them receiving extensive medical treatment.

Ms. Nichiow-Brubaker was given 5 years probation (the maximum), 100 hours of community service and had to pay $17,500 in restitution.

Lorri went to jail

Updated 2/18/2010

Ms. Lorri E. Nichiow-Brubaker appeared in court and was sentenced to 90 days in jail for her violation of her probation on her animal cruelty charges! We are so pleased that Judge Vivanio did the right thing, kept his word and spent a lot of time on this case to ensure that justice is served. Lorri still doesn't seem to accept responsibility for her actions and we had to have a Police Officer escort us out of the courthouse for our own safety. Maybe 90 days in jail will give her time to think it over.

Updated 12/15/09

Ms. Lorri E. Nichiow-Brubaker appeared in court today for a review. Judge Viviano had said at her sentencing that if he saw her back in court for probation viloations that he would put her in jail. We are hoping that Judge Viviano will do the right thing and live up his promise.

Updated 8/1/08

Ms. Nichiow-Brubaker was given 5 years probation (the maximum), 100 hours of community service and had to pay $17,500 in restitution.

The Judge said that if she violates her probation she will go to prision. Please let us know if you hear of Ms. Nichiow-Brubaker involved in selling or breeding animals or if anyone connected with her is selling them.

In another class act - Ms. Nichiow-Brubaker's family and friends mocked the person, Amber Sitko, who spoke out on behalf of the animals. They openly scorned and mocked her immediately after walking out of the court room - with a complete lack of regard for anyone but themselves. It shows how uncaring these people are.

Donations are appreciated, please click here for info

We also need cat nip toys cat nip, cat scratchers, blankets and, towels. The kitties got their first ever taste of cat nip and went wild with happiness. They were practically bouncing off the walls with delight and it seemed to us that it may have been the happiest day of their lives. We'd like to provide the kitties with lots of happiness, so any help would be appreciated!
